As part of the launch of the resource guide, the Partnership will be holding two webinars to highlight some promising practices and creative strategies that have been successfully employed in low-income communities.

In this first of two webinars, you will hear from two local experts:

  • Nora Cody, Safe Routes to School Director, TransForm, Alameda County, CA - speaking about strategies to engage parents as volunteers and champions for Safe Routes to School
  • Nikki Trevino, Program Coordinator, Austin Healthy Adolescent Initiative, Austin, TX - speaking about their efforts to reduce crime and violence around Zavala Elementary School and improve safety for children walking and bicycling.
